Jaime Juárez (409) is a multidisciplinary self-taught artist who began producing electronic music in 2000 and later added digitally manipulated visuals to accompany it.

As soon as digital technology became available to him, he developed a passion for it and explored various media, such as programming, databending, electronic circuits, and interactive pieces with proximity detectors, to create his works.

409's video loops are audiovisual collages where he meticulously crafts layered glitches and saturated malfunctions. He draws on themes ranging from nature and heavy machinery to anime and video games from his childhood to explore ideas like life cycles and self-escape.

Music is the core of 409’s work, and it is a complex fusion of techno, polyrhythms, microsampling, and sound design.
